Global Scholars is an international virtual exchange program for students aged between 10 and 13 years old who live in cities around the world. To date, nearly 127.000 students and 3.100 educators from 119 cities in 39 countries have participated.
Each year the Global Scholars program designs different projects related to cross-border and global problems. Students need to exchange ideas weekly in e-classroom discussion boards as they research and develop sophisticated solutions to a global problem and then take local action where they live. Thus, this is collaborative, real-world and project-based learning.
