Last week, our high school was decorated with Halloween-themed symbols like pumpkins, spiders, black cats and some ghosts… Halloween arrived at our town!
For this reason, students took part in several activities to get in the Halloween mood.
This year, from the Arts and Crafts elective of the GEP, from 2nd of ESO and to finish the subject, this year, the students have been working on their personal projects.

To celebrate Christmas we recovered the tradition of singing carols. Our students sang some carols all around the school: We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Jingle Bells and All I Want for Christmas Is You
It was an uplifting experience that students and teachers enjoyed sharing their Christmas spirit.
During the first term we have been working on various concepts related to the language of cinema: character creation, types of shots, storyboard and technical script. Students have done several assignments. The last task was a video dedicated to Christmas.
On Friday 29th October we celebrated Halloween in our school. The students carried out several activities.
In 1st grade they decorated their classroom doors with scary themes. It was terrifying! Our 2nd year students read a spooky story and had to finish it in a creepy way. The stories scared our pants off! In 3rd grade they took part in a scavenger hunt where they had to look for clues in the playground in order to write a horror story. Their ideas gave us the chills. In 4th grade they tried to crack the code by solving some challenges in a digital breakout. Our senior students got inspired by a creepy melody. Putting pen to paper had never been so unsettling.
On the 17th of March, our ESO students carried out a digital breakout (that is a digital escape room) to celebrate St Patrick’s day. The activity centred around Ireland, its symbols and traditions, and consisted of several challenges, which ranged from reading or listening tasks… Llegeix més»
This year we haven’t celebrated November 1st as we would have liked because of COVID. But the week has been full of witches, ghosts and bats. Our students have been working with the vocabulary of Halloween and have written scary tales.
We have known the Samhain, a celtic tradition, and how christianism adapted this pagan festivity to celebrate the All Saints Day. At least we saw that Halloween and La Castanyada have a common origin.
In 1st ESO we have done a Halloween breakout. We invite everybody to try to leave the haunted house. Be careful because there are plenty of monsters!

L’1 DE NOVEMBRE
Aquest any no hem pogut celebrar l’1 de novembre com ens hauria agradat a causa de la COVID. Però la setmana ha estat plena de bruixes, fantasmes i ratpenats. Els alumnes han treballat el vocabulari de Halloween i han escrit històries de por.
Hem conegut el Samhain, una tradició celta, i com el paganisme la va adaptar per celebrar el dia de Tots Sants. Hem vist que Halloween i la Castanyada tenen un origen comú.
A 1r cicle hem fet un escape room sobre Halloween. Us convidem a entrar i SORTIR d’aquesta casa encantada. Anem amb compte perquè és plena de monstres!
