The North American musician, composer, LGBTQ+ artivist Monique Mizrahi gave a talk to the 1st batxillerat students of INS CASTELL D’ESTELA last Wednesday May 22nd. After the talk they answered questions to some students in 1st and 4th year of ESO.
The talk took place at 11:20 at the school’s canteen. It was about “artivism”, a blend of art and activism, using songs as a means to create dialog over important issues such as human rights and gender identities, provide visibility to marginalized communities, and (re)consider different in our society.
Monique Mizrahi, a/k/a “Honeybird”, also presented some of her songs to accompany the talk.
