Alma Thomas was an African-American artist. She was born in 1891 in Georgia, USA. She was an art techer for 35 years before becoming a famous painter. She loved painting with bright colors. In 2015, Michelle Obama put her painting “Resurrection” in the White House because it representant hope and joy.
In Santa Anna School we did a colorful collage in 6th grade.
We used colorful papers, glue, scissors and a big white paper.
We glued small pieces of paper until we did a circle.
We liked this activity because our works are fantastic, and we listened to relaxing music while we worked.
