Els alumnes de 3r d’ESO, a la matèria de Projectes STEAM, hem posat en pràctica els nostres coneixements de mecanismes (estudiats a Tecnologia) per a resoldre un repte: una empresa de joguines internacional ens ha fet l’encàrrec de construir una joguina infantil en format autòmat, és a dir, que tingui moviment al girar una manovella, per al llançament d’una nova línia de joguines animades. En grups, hem dissenyat diferents models de joguines, identificant diferents temes d’interès per a infants i pensant quins moviments volíem que fes l’autòmat-joguina. Hem construït els prototips d’autòmat amb cartró i altres materials senzills i, després de superar algunes dificultats durant l’elaboració i pensar en possibles millores, estem molt contents dels resultats finals de les nostres joguines! Finalment, hem exposat els nostres autòmats-joguines als companys de classe. Com que a la matèria practiquem la metodologia AICLE (Aprenentatge Integrat de Continguts i Llengua Estrangera), alguns de nosaltres ens hem animat a explicar tot el procés en anglès!
Descripció de l’activitat (anglès): The students of 3rd ESO, in the STEAM Projects subject, have put into practice our knowledge of mechanisms (studied in Technology) to address a challenge: an international toy company has asked us to create a children’s toy in the form of an automata – that is, a toy that moves when a crank is turned – for the launch of a new line of animated toys. Working in groups, we have designed different toy models, identifying various themes of interest for children and thinking about the types of movements we wanted the automata-toy to perform. We built the automata prototypes using cardboard and other simple materials and, after overcoming some difficulties during the construction process and thinking about possible improvements, we are very happy with the final results of our toys! Finally, we presented our automata-toys to our classmates. As part of the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology we have been using, some of us decided to explain the whole process in English!
