TARDIGRADE (HYPSIBIUS DUJARDINI)

The Hypsibius dujardini is so especial because it can enter in a dehydration state and be in existence during decades. It can survive in an extrems cold, at the hot, at the radiation and at the pressure. It is estimated to live 4 to 12 yeras in the wild in average. Tardigrade lives in fresh water.There is no information available on the communication methods or perception of the environment by this particular species. Iteroparous females lay an average of 3 to 4 eggs per reproductive cycle, and these take 4 to 4.5 days to hatch. Females tend to be larger than males. It’s surprising that the 17’5% about it specie DNA is from other animals.
