Visiting Poland Erasmus+ Mobility

From 28 November to 2nd December, the last mobility of the Erasmus+ project Small Steps: BIG CHANGES took place in Wojsławicach-Kolonii, Poland. Due to the circumstances that had occurred some weeks earlier to the trip, the School Management decided that students had better not travel to Poland. As it was important for the project and for the school to put an end to the project in a cordial way, the teachers Alba Martínez and Mónica Ramos travelled to the Polish village to represent the Spanish team. There, the Enric Borràs teachers joined the other partners: Turkey, Greece, Hungary and the host country, Poland.

After a long journey to reach the village, Wojsławicach-Kolonii, we arrived approximately at 4am in the hotel. The first day, the host school welcomed us with a performance on traditional dances and games. Later, we paid a visit to the town hall, where the mayor received us and showed the ecological advancements that they are undertaking. After that, we walked around Wojsławicach-Kolonii with a tour guide and learnt about the Hebrew, Catholic and Protestant influences that the little town has received. We had for lunch two typical Polish dishes in the school and Turkish, Polish, Greek and Hungarian students continued with the programme by creating Healthy Tips Leaflets.
The following day, we visited the city of Lublin and attended a cooking workshop in the Museum of Cebularz. It is a museum of Hebrew origins and there we got to know the legend and history of the onion flat dough recipe. Students and teachers became bakers for a day and made wonderful doughs. After the touristy visit to Lublin, students did some fitness activities at the Trampoline Park, had lunch and in the end, enjoyed the Illumination Park with Christmas Lights in the city.
On Wednesday 30th November, students had a workshop with a dietician at school in which the DASH diet was explained. Then, students had a shooting competition at school and after breakfast, we had a trip to Chelm. After having lunch there, we had a fitness activity at the Water Park in Chelm.
The following day, the trip was to Zamosc. We went sightseeing around the city and after having lunch in a typical Polish restaurant, a milk bar or Bar mleczny, we had a fitness activity: Bubble Football.
On the last day, Friday 2nd December, we went to Warsaw. There, we had a guided tour of the capital city and visited the Museum of Polish Army, the Palace of Culture and Science and the Football Stadium of Legia Warszawa. After lunch, we had the certificate ceremony and all the countries thanked the Polish for such wonderful mobility.
