Keeping up with the Etwinning project we are taking part in this course, called My life in 10 pictures, December was a month to write and decorate Christmas postcards. We were in charge of writing to our German colleagues, so we prepared them beautiful postcards were we told them about how we celebrate Christmas here in Catalonia. We told them about the Christmas tree, tió, and also turrons, neules and carn d’olla. Our writings were accompanied by drawings and photos of what we were telling them about and, furthermore, we sent the new year’s wishes both in English and in Catalan. We enjoyed deciding how we were going to decorate our postcards, and it was really enriching getting everything ready and walking to Medinyà’s post office to send our work to Germany.
After a few weeks, their postcards arrived, and we had a blast of a time opening the envelope, discovering which postcards were addressed to each of us, reading their messages and checking their beautiful designs and decorations. We can’t wait to see how our other etwinning friends postcards look like. How do they celebrate Christmas in Greece? And in France?
We can’t be happier to be taking part of this etwinning project, as apart of being able to practice English in a meaningful way, we are learning a lot about other European countries and schools.
We can’t wait to know what next etwinning adventure awaits us!
