We have concluded the Matter, mixtures and materials project. During this project we have been carrying out some experiments to learn the matter features and its properties. Some of these experiments are:
- A game with marbles and a dragon fighting structure to check the effects of force.
- A mixture called obleck or non- newtionan fluid. We have learnt that sometimes classifying the state of matter can be challenging! The non- newtionan fluid is solid if you smash it, but it turns liquid if you immerse something softly in it.
- A mixture to check the effects of fermentation upon some substances. We could inflate a balloon thanks to the expandable properties that provides the gas produced by the fermentation.
- An experiment related to the water tension surface. We have realized that water has got a fine membrane that can prevent liquid from spreading.
