Yesterday in the afternoon Tamarit, a student from Georgia, came to the school and she explained lots of interesting things about her country and culture. She talked about the topography, the capital of Georgia (Tbilisi) where she lives, the typical food,the dances, things about herself…Do you know where Georgia is? Yes! Correct it is between Europe and Asia.It borders Russia, Turkey, Azerbaiyán and Armenia.
It was incredible because in general we understood the most part of the things that she explained. During the sessions we took notes, we asked different doubts and finally we played a game with her.
The aims of this experience were:
-To communicate in English with a person who doesn’t know Spanish and Catalan.
-To listen to other English accent.
-To value a different culture.
-To appreciate the importance that the English language has got nowadays in our world.
