We wondered how to say “línia del temps” in English and we asked Carla, but she answered us with the same question. We agreed to investigate it at home to discuss it in the English session.
Then, in the English session, each person write on the whiteboard the translation they have. Once we have all the versions written down, together we discard the ones we think are not correct.
From here, Alba comments that we can add to our timeline some events that are related to the parts of the body. We decide to work in groups to jointly write short sentences about our life. We realise that it is very difficult to construct sentences, but Carla encourages us to try even if we don’t know some words, using the dictionary or looking for other ways to say what we want to say.
To improve the sentences we have constructed, one member of each group writes one of the sentences on the board. All together we analyse the sentence and correct it to obtain a correctly constructed sentence.
Although we thought we knew the parts of the body in English, we discovered how to say tooth and that the plural works in the same way as feet, with no s added, just that some of the letters of the word change.
As we improve the sentences in each group, we leave them written on the board so that we can choose which one we want to write in our timeline. Carla helps us individually to adapt the sentences to our story if we need to.
