This weekend Lluèrnia had been celebrated in Olot, and the children had shared their thoughts about some of the photographs displayed in our classroom. Many of these photos included self-portraits and faces, so together we had fun creating a big collaborative portrait full of eyes, noses, mouths, and ears.
From there, we got to know an artist who also works with faces, Hanoch Piven, whose style is quite different from Suso33’s. After exploring some of his artworks, the children created their own portraits using objects from around the classroom, while learning and practising the parts of the body in English.
