Hola a todos!
My name is Michael, and I am currently serving as an English, French and Robotic teaching assistant at CEIP Enric Farreny. I come from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering in India. Alongside my engineering studies, I’ve always been deeply passionate about languages, education, and cultural exchange, and this internship in Spain gives me the wonderful opportunity to combine my passions for languages, technology, and education, three areas that have shaped both my academic and personal journey.
Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to teach English both online and in person, working with children and young learners from different countries. I also recently completed a TEFL certification, which further strengthened my teaching methods and confidence in the classroom.
Beyond teaching, I’m passionate about technology, music, and robotics, and I love finding creative ways to bring those interests into education. I believe that combining language learning with creativity and real-world topics helps students feel more motivated and confident to express themselves.
At Enric Farreny, I aim to make every class an opportunity to learn, explore, and connect. Whether it’s through language lessons or robotics workshops, my goal is to help students develop communication skills, curiosity, and confidence. I believe that learning should always be engaging, whether it’s programming a robot, practicing a new language, or discovering another culture.
As someone who speaks English, French, Lingala, and Swahili, and even a bit of Hindi and Spanish, I enjoy showing students how languages connect people across cultures. And as an engineering student passionate about robotics, I enjoy sharing how technology can be used creatively in education.
I am very grateful to CEIP Enric Farreny for welcoming me so warmly and allowing me to contribute to their inspiring language and innovation programs. The kindness of the staff and the enthusiasm of the students make this experience truly special.
In the months ahead, I look forward to continuing to share my culture, my languages, and my love for technology, while learning from everyone in this amazing school community.
Thank you, Enric Farreny, for this unforgettable experience and for making me feel at home!
