My name is Letizia, I am 22 years old, and I come from Reggio Emilia, a small city in northern Italy known for its dedication to early childhood education. In fact, it follows the Loris Malaguzzi method, developed by a pedagogist I deeply admire, who revolutionized the way we understand children’s learning.
In October, I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, specializing in art education. Art is my greatest passion—I love all its forms, but I must admit that Spanish artists are among my favorites! Picasso, Gaudí, Miró, and Dalí have always fascinated me with their creativity and unique vision of the world. Among all art forms, I am especially passionate about mosaics, printmaking, and engraving. I recently took a course to deepen my knowledge, and I love how, by putting together many small pieces in mosaics or working with different printing techniques, you can create something entirely new and beautiful!
I am excited to start this new experience in a school that values artistic projects. I truly believe that art is a universal language, a way to express ourselves, free our emotions, and tell our stories. It is essential for children to learn how to do this from an early age, but it is just as important for us teachers! I am sure that in this school, I will be able toshare new ideas and, above all, learn from the children, who are without a doubt the most creative minds! Children’s creativity is something unique, magical, and unpredictable, and being able to witness it in an environment that embraces cultural diversity is a special opportunity!
I am truly happy to be here, surrounded by the new colors of this school, ready to discover and create together with all of you!
