This week 3rd grade started to practice in greek traditional dances during the Music class. At first , they informed about regions of Greece and traditional costumes in every area . Then we searched the music instruments that participate in the most of the traditional songs and watched some videos of traditional dances. In these sessions they will be taught how to dance some greek songs : 1. Συρτός – sirtos (has its origin in the region of Thessaly) , 2. Ποδαράκι – Podaraki (its origin is in Thrace) , 3. Χασαποσέρβικο – Hasaposerviko (a typical dance of Greece with modern affections of other countries.
In Greece we believe that dance connects people and creates friends and companies . That’s the reason we dance very easily in almost every occasion ! (fests, festivals, weddings …)
