Let’s get fit with 3rd grade

Our first session of the “let’s get fit” topic ,  started with PILATES exercises  for kids.

Children should be taking part in aerobic activities every day  and the benefits of this are well documented: from improving overall health to helping with musculoskeletal and bone development, reducing the risk of diabetes and improving mental health and concentration.

Why Pilates for children?

  1. It’s a low-impact form of exercise that everyone can do at their own  level
  2. It develops good habits for life – from posture to, healthy breathing, improved concentration and body position awareness
  3. Pilates can have an impact on concentration, helping children focus on other aspects of their life whether that’s in class or at home
  4. Pilates can improve core strength and help prevent injury – even for those who play a lot of sport already

Exercise is an important part of a child’s development and it’s key to find an activity that they can enjoy.
