The tió is a Catalan tradition that has been going on for many years. It cousists of grinding a tió with a stick.
There are many people who go to the mountain every year to find their tió.
You go back in front of the tió, you sing a song (caga tió ,tió de nadal no caguis arengades que són massa salades caga turrons que són més bons, caga tió) the shik and raise the blanket and it shakes presents .
Gitfs are usually candy of small toys. As it is a catalan tradition, it is done in many houses.
