Today, the 5th and 6th graders from Escola Barrufet visited the Tàpies Museum in Barcelona, and we had an amazing time discovering a very different kind of art. This trip is part of our Arts and Crafts class, where we are learning to see the world through new eyes. As soon as we arrived, the wire sculpture on the rooftop caught our attention, and inside, we were surprised by the unusual materials Antoni Tàpies used, like sand, ropes, and even recycled objects. We learned that art isn’t just about “pretty drawings,” but also about textures and symbols used to express feelings. It was a great experience to practice what we’ve been studying in class and to enjoy a special day together!

Avui l’alumnat de 5è i 6è de l’Escola Barrufet hem anat d’excursió a Barcelona per visitar el Museu Tàpies i ens ho hem passat d’allò més bé descobrint un tipus d’art molt diferent. Aquesta sortida forma part de les activitats que fem a l’assignatura d’Arts and Crafts en llengua anglesa on estem aprenent a mirar el món amb uns altres ulls. Només arribar ens ha cridat molt l’atenció l’escultura de filferro que hi ha a la teulada de l’edifici i un cop a dins hem observat la quantitat de materials estranys que feia servir l’Antoni Tàpies per fer els seus quadres. Hem vist obres que tenien sorra, cordes, roba i fins i tot objectes que semblaven trets de les escombraries però que junts explicaven històries molt interessants. Hem après que l’art no són només dibuixos bonics sinó que també són textures, taques i símbols que serveixen per expressar el que sentim d’una manera creativa. Ha estat una experiència genial per practicar tot el que hem estat parlant a classe d’Arts and Crafts i per gaudir d’un dia diferent amb tots els companys i companyes!
