Un grup d’alumnes de 1r d’ESO han participat en la mobilitat Erasmus a Agrigento, Sicília, Itàlia del 22 al 28 de març. 

A group of 1st ESO students has participated in the Erasmus mobility in Agrigento, Sicily, Italy, from the 22nd to the 28th March.

Aquí en teniu el diari de viatge: 

Dia 1, Agrigento:

– Acte de rebuda a la Casa Sant Filippo amb participació de professors i alumnes d’Itàlia, Hongria, França, Portugal, Romania i Espanya (Institut Dertosa)
– Visita a la Vall dels Temples fundada al segle VI a.C. formant part de la Magna Grècia i posterior reutilització durant l’Imperi Romà
– Tallers de teatre, història i botànica.

Day 1, Agrigento:

• Welcome event at Casa Sant Filippo with participation from teachers and students from Italy, Hungary, France, Portugal, Romania, and Spain (Institut Dertosa)
• Visit to the Valley of the Temples, founded in the 6th century BC as part of Magna Graecia and later reused during the Roman Empire.
• Workshops on theatre, history, and botany.

Dia 2, Agrigento:

Avui la pluja ha condicionat les nostres activitats, malgrat no haver pogut fer els tallers de la tarda, al matí hem pogut visitar un lloc únic.

Scala dei Turchi
Deu el seu nom a una llegenda que parla de pirates a qui els sicilians anomenaven turcs, aquests amagaven les seves naus entre els blancs penya-segats per no ser vistos.

El color blanc tan característic es deu al tipus de roca que els forma, la marga blanca.

Day 2, Agrigento:

Today the rain affected our activities. Although we couldn’t hold the afternoon workshops, in the morning we were able to visit a unique place.

Scala dei Turchi
It owes its name to a legend about pirates whom the Sicilians called “Turks.” They used to hide their ships among the white cliffs so as not to be seen.

The distinctive white color is due to the type of rock that forms them: white marl.

Dia 3, Agrigento:

Avui hem passat el matí a l’Instituto Comprensivo Anna Frank.

• Hem conegut més companys i professors.
• Hem fet tallers d’anglès, de ciències, de música, d’art…
• A la tarda hem passat temps amb les nostres famílies sicilianes.
• I, per acabar, hem fet un sopar de germanor en una pizzeria. Heu provat mai la pizza de Nutella? Nosaltres, sí.

Day 3, Agrigento:

Today we spent the morning at Anna Frank Comprehensive School.

• We met more classmates and teachers.
• We took part in workshops in English, science, music, art…
• In the afternoon, we spent time with our Sicilian host families.
• And to finish the day, we had a group dinner at a pizzeria. Have you ever tried Nutella pizza? We have!

Dia 4, Agrigento:

Avui hem passejat pel centre històric d’Agrigento.

Hem visitat el monestir cistercenc del Santo Spirito i l’església de San Lorenzo.

Hem descobert com són les voltes de creueria, els arcs apuntats i altres elements arquitectònics i artístics que formen aquests edificis.

Tot seguit ens ha rebut l’alcalde de la ciutat i hem visitat el teatre que hi ha a l’interior de l’ajuntament, us estranya, veritat?

Day 4, Agrigento:

Today we walked through the historic centre of Agrigento.

We visited the Cistercian Monastery of Santo Spirito and the Church of San Lorenzo.

We discovered what ribbed vaults, pointed arches, and other architectural and artistic elements that make up these buildings are like.

Afterwards, the mayor of the city welcomed us, and we visited the theatre inside the town hall—surprising, isn’t it?

Dia 5 Agrigento:

Avui ens hem trobat a l’escola on l’alumnat del Instituto Comprensivo Anna Frank ens ha preparat música i danses típiques.

Hem avaluat el que hem après aquests dies amb Kahoots en els quals hem participat professors i alumnes de diferents països.

Per acabar el dia ens han preparat una festa de comiat a l’escola, en la que hem ballat, cantat i menjat.

L’estada s’està acabant, però l’amistat tot just acaba d’iniciar-se.

Day 5, Agrigento:

Today we met at the school, where the students from Anna Frank Comprehensive School prepared traditional music and dances for us.

We evaluated what we’ve learned over the past few days using Kahoot quizzes, with both teachers and students from different countries taking part.

To finish the day, they organized a farewell party at the school, where we danced, sang, and ate.

The stay is coming to an end, but the friendship has only just begun.

Últim dia d’Erasmus a Agrigento:

Avui ha estat un dia molt emotiu. Ens hem acomiadat dels nostres companys i famílies d’acollida amb abraçades i algunes llàgrimes.

Fins a l’abril que ens retrobarem a Tortosa.

Last Day of Erasmus in Agrigento:

Today has been a very emotional day. We said goodbye to our partners and host families with hugs and a few tears.

See you in April, when we’ll meet again in Tortosa.
