Our High School has taken part in a European campaign to raise awareness about how much waste people throw in public spaces. This campaign is organized every year all over Europe and it involves citizens, NGOs, associations, municipalities and also schools.
Last week, all our 3rd of ESO students spent one day collecting litter along the Muga walking path and the seafront of Empuriabrava. The students worked in teams and they had to take a picture of the litter and upload it in an App that the organizers had provided, and then classify what type of litter it was (plastic, paper, glass, waste etc). At the end of the challenge, all the teams threw the litter into the right recycling container.
After the three days, we have collected a total amount of more than 30 kg of litter. This action has been added to the project database.

El nostre institut ha participat en una campanya europea de sensibilització sobre quanta brossa s’arriba a llençar als espais públics. Aquesta campanya s’organitza cada any a tota Europa i hi participen persones a títol individual, ONGs, associacions, ajuntaments i també escoles i instituts.
La setmana passada tots els grups de 3r d’ESO van passar un dia recollint brossa al camí natural de La Muga i al passeig d’Empuriabrava. Els estudiants es van organitzar en grups petits i havien de fer una foto de cada peça de brossa, penjar-la a l’App Litterati, que va facilitar l’organització, i classificar el tipus de brossa en un llistat (plàstic, paper, vidre, rebuig, etc. Al final del repte, els equips van llençar tota la brossa al contenidor adequat.
Després dels tres dies de feina, hem recollit un total de més de 30 kg de residus. Aquesta acció s’ha inclòs a la base de dades del projecte europeu.
