Erasmus in Gütersloh: an experience to remember!

Last March, a group of 2nd and 3rd year ESO students once again enjoyed an amazing Erasmus experience. We travelled to Gütersloh, Germany, where our partners from the Geschwister-Scholl-Schule were waiting for us.

During our stay, we didn’t stop! We took part in a wide range of activities. One of them was visiting a food bank, where we learned about the important work they do and reflected on the value of helping others.

But it wasn’t all work… we also had lots of fun! One of the highlights was playing LaserTag, where we competed, laughed and shared great moments with the German students.

The weekend with the host families was definitely one of the most special parts of the trip. They welcomed us into their homes, and we got to experience their daily life, learn more about their culture and practise languages without even noticing it.

We also took part in a city scavenger hunt around Gütersloh, which helped us discover the town in a fun and different way. And of course, we tried different traditional food… some we loved, and others really surprised us!

This Erasmus exchange is just one of many that have taken place at our school, and once again, it has been a great success. Now we are really excited because in June it will be our turn to host the German students and show them our way of life.

All in all, it has been a fantastic experience: we’ve learned a lot, made new friends and created memories we will never forget!
