We use tools to plant and water our vegetables in the garden.
To water we use:
Canals: it transports the water

watering cans: they are green, big and small, and we water the herbs and flowers

pipes: they are long

We have flowers because they atract bees, and because they are beautiful too.
They smell well and they have beautiful colours.
Bees are necessary to make honey and most important: they help plants reproduce.

The compost hip is next to the orchard in Pati del Silenci.
In the hip we put fruit and vegetable peelings and eggshells, from the kitchen, and plants, grass clippings ,and leaves and branches, from the garden.
Worms transform leftovers into compost.

Some animals are smalls and naughty . They eat our plants and flowers. The ones that we have more are snails.
We still don’t now how to make them go away from are garden. They love our lettuce.

In the orchard we have planted many trees:
Cherry tree, lemon tree, olive tree, apple tree, almond tree and a peach tree.

In our garden we have many vegetables.
Olive cream: spread the olives and put them in a bowl and them cover them.
Cabbage and potato: cut the vegetables and boil them. Eat them with oil and salt.

In the garden is very important safety and clean.

1. Use tools, hoe and squeeze, to drill and remove weeds. And gloves!
2. When you lift the hoe, watch over that there is no one you can hit.

Worms are friends and we can’t kill Them
In the garden there are lots of worms. They live in the soil.
Worms can eat the food that we don’t eat.
Worms help in the garden because they transform organic leftovers into compost.

Our Orchard is beautiful, the trees are full of flowers in spring, and fruit in summer.
A few years ago bad people broke the lemon tree. 🙁 But now it’s growing.

Herbs in allotment:
-Parsley :this is aromatic, it smells good, it needs minerals and water.
-Rosemary: Romani serves to make infusions and give some meals good taste
-Oregano: it service the cook is the purple colour.
-Lavender: it smells good and it is a very beautiful plant.
