Learning about Scotland

Last Tuesday  (8th November) Ruth, our language assistant, taught us about Scotland traditions and culture because she is Scottish.

She showed us some Scottish kilts and taught us about tartans.

We learned that “Hogmanay” is the name of the last day of the year in Scotland.

We danced some Scottish dances. It was a little bit tiring but funny.

We learned about Robert Burns, a famous poet. She sang us one of Robert Burn poems. We danced “Auld Lang Syne”, in Catalan “L’hora dels adéus”, and we learned that Robert Burns was the author.

She brought some books and teddies from Scotland and we could read and play with them.

It was a good experience. We liked it very much and we learnt lots of things.
