Last Tuesday I had a meeting with Mamadou; who is a young Gambian. Now he’s eighteen years old but when father died he left Gambia and he went to Tenerife. He left his mother, two sisters and three brothers.
He made the crossing with fifty more people on a boat for 9 days. But they had a lot of problems… One problem was when the water finished. Some people began to drink water from the sea. After that some people were vomiting, others had stomach aches but they all reached Tenerife, although they were in a very weak and fragile condition.
They were one year in Tenerife and after that they went to Malaga but Momadou didn’t like it.
Finally, Mamadou came to Barcelona. He likes it very much and he studies at this school and his dream is to go to University, so he is studying hard this year.
