Hello, everybody!
2nd grade students have been partners and collaborated with schools from Turkey, Romania and Spain in a project called NEVER TOO LATE TO MAKE A CHANGE.
These are some of the activities we have been working on for the past 5 months:
- LOGO DESIGNS: Students from each school designed logos. Each school chose one logo and we held an international voting through Google forms to choose the winner logo.
- 3 R’S: Reduce– Students use a waterbottle during the year. We tracked the use of plastic vs recycled water bottles using a bar graph and stuents decreased the use of plastic bottles while in school. Reuse: Students designed and produced items from recycled materials. This activity was carried out with our PE teacher, Miriam. Recycle– We decorated our own recycle bins.
- MAKE THE EARTH GREEN: We cleaned our school playground and debated about how to improve its cleanliness. We noticed that most of the trash in our playground is paper and we also saw pigeons inside the bins. We labelled the new recycling bins in the playground, we wrote an e-mail to the Town Hall asking for more recycling bins and we had a meeting with other students at school to share our findings and work.
- USE RENEWABLE ENERGIES: Students wrote a poem about the importance of using renewable energies, other partners chose a slogan for each poem and we created an art piece related to that slogan.
- EDUCATE: To educate the students, other schools, parents and local community we have prepared collaboratively an online magazine.

- We have also created videos to present ourselves to the rest of our friends using the Chatterpix App, we had 2 video calls with the other partners, we celebrated e-Twinning Day on May 9th, and WE HAD LOTS OF FUN!
It has been a very enriching project, we have been able to reflect and make changes on our everyday life choices and we have improved our school playground, making it cleaner and more “recycle friendly” to all.

Els alumnes de 2n han han col·laborat amb escoles de Turquia, Romania i Espanya en el projecte eTwinning NEVER TOO LATE TO MAKE A CHANGE.
Aquestes són algunes de les activitats que hem realitzat durant els últims 5 mesos:
- DISSENY DEL LOGO: Els alumnes de cada escola han dissenyat, triat i votat un logotip. Finalment hem fet una votació internacional mitjançant formularis de Google per triar el logotip guanyador.
- 3 R: Reduir- Hem fet un seguiment de l’ús d’ampolles de plàstic en comparació amb les ampolles d’aigua reciclades mitjançant un gràfic de barres i els alumnes han reduït l’ús d’ampolles de plàstic a l’escola. Reutilització: els alumnes van dissenyar i produir articles amb materials reciclats. Aquesta activitat es va realitzar amb la nostra professora d’educació física, la Míriam. Reciclar: hem decorat les nostres pròpies papereres de reciclatge.
- FER LA TERRA MÉS VERDA: Hem netejat el pati de l’escola i hem debatut sobre com millorar-ne la neteja. Ens hem adonat que la major part de les escombraries del nostre pati són paper i també hem vist coloms dins les papereres. Hem etiquetat els nous contenidors de reciclatge al pati i hem escrit un correu electrònic a l’Ajuntament demanant més contenidors de reciclatge,
- UTILITZA ENERGIES RENOVABLES: Els alumnes van escriure un poema sobre la importància d’utilitzar les energies renovables, altres socis van triar un lema per a cada poema i vam crear una obra d’art relacionada amb aquest lema.
- EDUCAR: Per educar els alumnes, altres escoles, pares i comunitats locals hem preparat de manera col·laborativa una revista en línia. - També hem creat vídeos per presentar-nos a la resta dels nostres amics mitjançant l’aplicació Chatterpix, hem fet 2 videotrucades amb la resta de socis, hem celebrat el dia eTwinning el 9 de maig i sobretot ENS HEM DIVERTIT MOLT! Ha estat un projecte molt enriquidor, hem pogut reflexionar i fer canvis sobre les nostres eleccions quotidianes i hem millorat el pati de l’escola, fent-lo més net i més “reciclable” per a tothom.
