Let’s start the Global Scholars year with a breathtaking film. We have seen it and we have loved it! Now it’s time to reflect on it. We will be working upon it in the upcoming weeks: there is so much to say!
You can enjoy this short film right now!
After reflecting upon the film, we have divided ourselves into small groups in order to find out what we already know about water. Each group had different ideas, but we all agreed that we don’t know as much about water as we thought. We have started a wall where we put all the questions that we want to find the answer to.
Water matters! We have watched a very interesting clip about the importance of decent toilets being available to everyone.
Water is an essential element in our culture. Water and culture seem to go hand by hand all throughout human history. We have found out about a lot of great festivities and celebrations where water plays an important role. On top of that, we were surprised to know that there are so many celebrations in Catalonia related to water!
It is amazing how important it is to wash one’s hands. We already knew that washing hands before and after eating is a good habit, but we didn’t know how important it is to wash them more often and in more situations. Not washing your hands properly may even lead to illness and death in some countries!
