Let’s investigate the direction of the wind!

Y1 and y2 Massalcoreig and Llardecans students are studying weather instrument to measure the temperature (thermometer), the wind (anemometer and weather vane) and the rain (rain gauge)

This week they have created their own weather vane in pairs in order to investigate the direction of the wind. How? They have used a paper head, a paper tail, two straws and a toothpick.

Children love experiments and crafts, so they were excited to check if the instrument worked. First, they blew the weather vane in the class and they were enthusiastic: it was moving! Then, we went to the playground where they could check where the wind was blowing from! All weather vanes pointed to the same point! AMAZING! 😎

Investiguem la direcció del vent!

Els alumnes de cicle inicial de Massalcoreig i Llardecans estan estudiant els instruments metereològics per mesurar la temperatura (termòmetre), el vent (anemòmetre i penell) i la pluja (pluviòmetre)

Aquesta setmana han creat el seu propi penell en parelles per tal d’investigar la direcció del vent. Com ho han fet? Han utilitzat un cap de paper, una cua de paper, dos canyetes i un escuradents.

Als infants els encanten els experiments i les manualitats, i per això ells estaven molt contents per comprovar si el seu instrument funcionava. Primer, van bufar a la classe i ells estaven molt entusiastats: la veleta se movia. Llavors, vam anar al pati on van comprovar d’on bufava el vent. Tots els penells van assenyalar el mateix punt! INCREÏBLE! 😎
