This term, the Preschool English groups (I3, I4, and I5) worked on the themes of Autumn and Christmas through hands-on activities, stories, games, and creative projects that supported early English learning.
During the Autumn unit, children learned seasonal vocabulary and the names of autumn fruits. Each group contributed to a collaborative mural using fruit stamping:

Christmas Crafts
In December, we shifted our focus to Christmas vocabulary and festive creations:

I3: made a stamped snowman.

I4: built a Christmas tree using wooden craft sticks, colourful pom-poms, and a star at the top.

I5: created a Rudolph reindeer using a painted cardboard toilet roll, a bell, glued-on eyes, a red pom-pom nose, and antlers made from sticks, pom-poms, and cypress leaves.
These projects helped reinforce Christmas words such as snowman, Christmas tree, reindeer, star, and bells, while promoting creativity and fine motor skills.
Throughout the term, we encouraged children to use simple English in everyday classroom situations. In I3, children used expressions such as “Sit down, please” and “Let’s paint!”. In I4, they practised short sentences like “What colour do you want?” and “My turn”. In I5, children followed simple instructions and shared preferences with phrases like “Pick up six pom-poms” and “I like it”.
Food Vocabulary and Storytelling
We also dedicated part of our learning to food-related vocabulary. Through board games, songs,matching activities, and oral practice, children learned words such as apple, banana, bread, milk, carrot, and cheese.
To enrich this topic, we read and acted out a story about a lion who eats a lot (A Very Hungry Lion). This helped children understand and use food vocabulary in a meaningful context and encouraged repetition, comprehension, and active participation.
Flashcards and Toy Vocabulary
Throughout the term, flashcards were used regularly to present, practise, and review new vocabulary in an engaging way. Taking advantage of the Christmas season, we introduced toy-related words such as doll, ball, car, train, teddy bear, and blocks. Children enjoyed identifying, naming, and talking about toys through games and playful activities.

Explorant la Tardor i el Nadal a l’Anglès d’Infantil (I3, I4 i I5)
Aquest trimestre, els grups d’Anglès d’Infantil (I3, I4 i I5) han treballat els temes de la tardor i el Nadal a través d’activitats manipulatives, contes, jocs i projectes creatius que han afavorit l’aprenentatge inicial de la llengua anglesa.
Manualitats de Tardor
Durant el treball de la tardor, els infants han après vocabulari relacionat amb l’estació i amb els fruits de tardor. Cada grup ha participat en l’elaboració d’un mural col·laboratiu amb estampació de fruites:

I4: creació d’un arbre amb estampació de pomes.

I5: estampació de peres verdes.
Manualitats de Nadal
Al desembre, hem introduït el vocabulari de Nadal a través de diferents manualitats:

I3: elaboració d’un ninot de neu amb estampació.

I4: construcció d’un arbre de Nadal amb pals de polo, pompons de colors i una estrella al capdamunt.

I5: creació d’un rens Rudolph amb un rotlle de cartró pintat, un cascabell, ulls enganxats, un nas de pompó vermell i unes banyes fetes amb pals, pompons i fulles de xiprer.
Aquestes activitats han ajudat a reforçar el vocabulari de Nadal i a desenvolupar la creativitat i la motricitat fina.
Expressió Oral en Llengua Anglesa
Al llarg de tot el trimestre, s’ha fomentat l’ús de l’anglès en situacions quotidianes de l’aula mitjançant frases senzilles, petits diàlegs i jocs de rol.
A I3, els infants han utilitzat expressions com “Sit down, please” i “Let’s paint!”.
A I4, han practicat frases curtes com “What colour do you want?” i “My turn”.
A I5, han seguit instruccions senzilles i han expressat preferències amb frases com “Pick up six pom-poms” i “I like it”.
Vocabulari del Menjar i Contacontes
També hem treballat el vocabulari relacionat amb el menjar a través de jocs de taula, cançons, activitats d’associació i pràctica oral. Els infants han après paraules com apple, banana, bread, milk, carrot i cheese.
Per reforçar aquest vocabulari, hem explicat i representat el conte d’un lleó que menjava molt (A Very Hungry Lion), que ha ajudat els infants a comprendre i utilitzar el vocabulari en un context narratiu, fomentant la repetició, la comprensió i la participació activa.
Flashcards i Vocabulari de Joguines
Al llarg del trimestre, les flashcards s’han utilitzat de manera habitual per presentar, practicar i repassar vocabulari nou. Aprofitant l’arribada del Nadal, també hem introduït vocabulari de joguines com doll, ball, car, train, teddy bear i blocks, que els infants han treballat mitjançant jocs i activitats lúdiques.
