Infantil: it’s English time!

Hello everybody!

In the past weeks we have been working in several projects in I3, I4 and I5.

In I3, we love working with the surprise box! Some objects(or toys) were introduced, explored and associated with a colour (a broccoli for green, a little pig for pink, a lemon for yellow, etc.). Once they knew some of them, it was storytelling time and we practiced the vocabulary repeating structures such as: “What colour is the… (object)?”. Finally, as you can see in the pictures, we practiced the colours by creating a big collective painting.

In I4, we were learning and reviewing the colours and some parts of the body with the book: Nelly and the monster. In this book we could see some structures to answer questions like: “What colour are the eyes?” or “What colour is the mouth?”. This way they had to identify the part of the body and the colour. In this book, Nelly paints a coloured monster that becomes real. Taking this idea, each one of them designed and painted their own monster, using different colours and trying to name different parts of its body.

In I5, the story told was Elmer, in which the message is very clear: we are all different and we are all perfect, just as we are. Since this story had already been told to the five-year-olds, it was a good option to design a project around it, this time, in English. Therefore, the story was told and there were some reflections at the end. Then, they painted the patchwork design for the big Elmer and stuck it all together.

Bye bye!
