Getting to know Oliver Twist

Today the fifth and the sixth graders have gone to Ateneu to watch Oliver Twist, a theatrical adaptation -in English!- of the classical novel by Charles Dickens. As you may well know, it tells us the misadventures of poor Oliver Twist in the  England of the 19th century

An interesting journey through these tough times, sprinkled with songs and funny moments. We have surely learned a lot!

Now it’s time for the audience to speak their minds…

  1. The act was great. But also there was a thing than I didn’t like it.
    THE SONGS.
I never like it whe the actors start to sing because its boring.
For the other things… Good. I think it was good because i undestrand it ( not everything but a big part of the act ).
    Bye bye.

  2. I was very excited. It was fantastic but I had a child next to me who wouldn’t let me listen.
The theater was a success and very well done.

  3. I didn’t like this work very much, because it was a bit long, it was difficult for me to understand some things but I understood most of them.

  4. I liked the act 👍. The act was nice but the actreses were very nervous 😅 “I could see it in their eyes” although I did enjoy the show. It vas very entertaining and I hope to see it again 🔁 and I would also like to go again to the ATENEU 🕌 I liked that the show was in English and that the show was interactive, for example the actor was leaving the scene and mixing with the people who were watching. I didn’t like one of the songs, the second song they sung I was not finding nice.

  5. In the Oliver Twist play, we had a great time but we didn’t understand all because children of other school didn’t stop speaking and bothering the other schools.
My favorite character is Oliver because he’s the protagonist of play and he’s very very brave : they buried him alive and he ate the dog’s food.
Finaly, Oliver is adopted by Mr.Brownlow family and he receives a inheritance and he live happy.

But for my personal opinion, I would repeat it without any discomfort in the theatre.

  6. I liked a lot,but it was a bit long.
    It was very funny!
It was geart, but it was a little bit sad at times.
    The acting was very good.

I liked it a lot but it got long, boring and the way they lied was very fake. The story made me realize that the times before were very hard. One thing I liked was how quickly they changed the scene and changed the clothes.
