GEOMETRIC SHAPES

As we asked to the 5th grade students to collaborate on their blood workart putting some geometric white things as white blood cells, we decide to bring white things from home and to make a list in English about the shapes we think we are going to have.

As we don’t know the shapes in English, Carla tells us that the children of i3 and i4 grade know some shapes and suggests that we go and ask them. At the same time, Arlet says that maybe the older children know the others, so we decide to split into groups and distribute the shapes and go and ask to all the classes. On the way back, we write the ones they have been able to tell us on the whiteboard. For the ones we don’t know the answer to, Carla takes the tablet and reproduces them for us, we listen to the word and try to guess which figure it is. At first we write it as we think it is and then Carla helps us to write it correctly.

When we have a big amount of white things, we decided to classify them according to their shape and we put them in the hallway in the 5th grade students’ artwork.
