Els components d\u2019una mescla s\u2019anomenen subst\u00e0ncies pures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La mat\u00e8ria es presenta quasi sempre en forma de mescles. Algunes mescles s\u00f3n molt complexes, com la majoria que formen part dels \u00e9ssers vius (per exemple, la sang), i d\u2019altres s\u00f3n molt m\u00e9s senzilles, com ara l\u2019aire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Segons el seu aspecte, les mescles poden ser:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; Mescles heterog\u00e8nies. No presenten un aspecte uniforme, ja que els seus components es poden distingir a ull nu. La composici\u00f3, per tant, no \u00e9s la mateixa en tots els punts de la mescla, i les propietats tamb\u00e9 varien, ja que els components de la mescla conserven les seves propietats caracter\u00edstiques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Exemples: l\u2019aigua amb oli i l\u2019aigua amb sorra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; Mescles homog\u00e8nies. Presenten un aspecte homogeni, ja que els seus components no es poden distingir a ull nu ni tampoc amb un microscopi \u00f2ptic. En tots els punts de la mescla la composici\u00f3 \u00e9s la mateixa i, per tant, les propietats tamb\u00e9 s\u00f3n iguals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Exemples: els aliatges que s\u00f3n mescles s\u00f2lides formades per metalls, com ara el bronze (coure i estany) o tamb\u00e9 per metalls i no metalls, com ara l\u2019acer (ferro i carboni).
