El 1898 juntament amb el seu marit, van descobrir dos nous elements qu\u00edmics, el poloni (Po) que va anomenar aix\u00ed en honor al seu pa\u00eds de naixement i el radi (Ra).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Hedy Lamarr <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Viena), 1914 &#8211; (EUA), 2000<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inventora i enginyera implicada en la lluita contra el nazisme, va desenvolupar un <\/span><b>sistema de comunicacions secret capa\u00e7 d\u2019emetre radiofreq\u00fc\u00e8ncies aparentment aleat\u00f2ries i que l\u2019enemic no pogu\u00e9s interceptar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.Avui dia aquest sistema de codificaci\u00f3 de transmissions s\u2019utilitza en la tecnologia de posicionament per sat\u00e8l\u00b7lits (GPS), els enlla\u00e7os xifrats militars, les comunicacions de la llan\u00e7adora espacial amb la Terra i en la tecnologia sense fil Wi-Fi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Peggy Whitson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> EUA, 1960<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primera dona comandant de l\u2019Estaci\u00f3 Espacial Internacional (ISS).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En paraules seves \u201cthe view is just incredible. Being out there above the earth, I always think how delicate it looks.
