M\u00e9s tard, despr\u00e9s d\u2019anys de posada en pr\u00e0ctica, es van ampliar a altres cursos, en assignatures optatives aix\u00ed com altres \u00e0rees de 4t i batxillerat. La base de l\u2019ABP no \u00e9s altra que proporcionar a l\u2019alumnat una situaci\u00f3 el m\u00e9s real possible a partir de la qual els nois i noies han d\u2019anar construint el seu coneixement. El rol del professorat \u00e9s el de facilitar aquest proc\u00e9s, buscant situacions que estimulin, en aquest ordre, la participaci\u00f3, l\u2019interrogant, la curiositat i la recerca. Tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s tasca dels docents \u201clligar caps\u201d entre el que ja saben els alumnes i els nous coneixements, provocant el que s\u2019anomena \u201cun conflicte cognitiu\u201d que els fa cr\u00e9ixer intel\u00b7\u0097lectualment.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ABP exigeix als joves esfor\u00e7 i que es facin responsables del seu propi aprenentatge estimulant el treball cooperatiu, l\u2019aprenentatge significatiu, la investigaci\u00f3 i el saber pensar correctament. A m\u00e9s, estimula el que s\u2019anomena \u201cl\u2019aprendre a aprendre\u201d, un aspecte positiu necessari en la societat actual ja que est\u00e0 estructurada per qu\u00e8 sempre, al llarg de la vida, es continui aprenent aix\u00ed adaptar-se als canvis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>D\u2019on sorgeix l\u2019ABP?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Aprenentatge Basat en Problemes (ABP) tamb\u00e9 anomenat PBL en angl\u00e8s (Problem Based Learning es va posar en marxa a l\u2019any 2005 a trav\u00e9s del grup de treball de Metodologies de l\u2019Institut de Ci\u00e8ncies de l\u2019Educaci\u00f3 de la Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona. \u00c9s una metodologia nova al nostre pa\u00eds i que es va implementar als anys 60 a la Universitat McMaster de Canad\u00e0. Els professors d\u2019aquest centre es van adonar que els joves llicenciats en medicina tenien dificultats<br \/>\nper entendre textos de la seva especialitzat i per incorporar-se activament a la vida professional. Per tal de solucionar aquesta problem\u00e0tica, es va dissenyar l\u2019ABP perqu\u00e8 els futurs metges poguessin dominar les compet\u00e8ncies b\u00e0siques que cal un cop llicenciats. Cal destacar que a Catalunya existeixen diferents facultats que nom\u00e9s treballen amb aquesta metodologia. Per aquest motiu, la direcci\u00f3 de l\u2019Institut Can Planas posa a l\u2019abast del seu alumnat aquest tipus de coneixement, ja que un cop acabin el batxillerat, els joves que ja hagin practicat
