Els dies 11 i 16 d\u2019abril en Xavier \u00c0lvarez va realitzar dues confer\u00e8ncies dirigides als alumnes de primer de Batxillerat en relaci\u00f3 amb l\u2019assignatura \u201cCi\u00e8ncies del m\u00f3n contemporani\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>En Xavier \u00e9s doctor en F\u00edsica, treballa al Departament de F\u00edsica de la UAB, imparteix classes com a Professor Lector a la UAB i dirigeix la revista de F\u00edsica de l\u2019Institut d\u2019Estudis Catalans.<\/p>\n<p>La pres\u00e8ncia d\u2019aquest especialista en Nanotecnologia i, concretament en termoel\u00e8ctrics i transports d\u2019energia, va iniciar la confer\u00e8ncia amb un viatge en el temps. L\u2019alumnat va poder observar com ha evolucionat la investigaci\u00f3 i els descobriments en tecnologia, sobretot quina repercussi\u00f3 tenen els descobriments per al futur dels \u00e9ssers humans. Vam poder observar com era un transistor fa uns quaranta anys i com s\u00f3n ara els nostres reproductors de m\u00fasica i , fins i tot, com han evolucionat els ordinadors, pel que fa al seu funcionament i dimensions.<\/p>\n<p>Tot aquest viatge tecnol\u00f2gic, passant per una gran q\u00fcesti\u00f3 que es va anar repetint al llarg de la confer\u00e8ncia com \u00e9s: \u201cPenseu que \u00e9s interessant que alg\u00fa estudi\u00ef&#8230;?\u201d en Xavier va proposar a l\u2019alumnat, q\u00fcestions d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 relacionades amb la Nanotecnologia i energies, tan populars al segle XXI. A m\u00e9s, van anar veient les diferents aplicacions de la nanotecnologia, incloent la medicina i els nous materials.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019alumnat captivat i molt sensibilitzat pel consum responsable i la inicial revoluci\u00f3 en l\u2019\u00e0mbit de l\u2019autom\u00f2bil amb els motors el\u00e8ctrics, van iniciar un debat en el qual van proposar les seves inquietuds i en Xavier els va respondre a partir de la seva experi\u00e8ncia, coneixements cient\u00edfics i investigacions actuals.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019aquesta manera els alumnes van poder viure de primera m\u00e0 la necessitat de treballar en equip i la import\u00e0ncia d\u2019avan\u00e7ar en les investigacions en qualsevol \u00e0mbit, uns fets i una uni\u00f3 d\u2019esfor\u00e7os, que amb el pas del temps poden acabar revolucionant el m\u00f3n i millorant la nostra qualitat de vida, ja sigui ara o en un futur molt proper.<\/p>\n<p>Sara Veiga<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aquest curs 2011-2012 vam gaudir de la confer\u00e8ncia realitzada per en Xavier \u00c0lvarez.
