Aquests alumnes de 2n de batxillerat estan fent el seu treball de recerca sobre aquest tema. Al sincrotr\u00f3 els va rebre l&#8217;investigador Gast\u00f3n Garc\u00eda, que els va explicar quines son les caracter\u00edstiques i la feina que s&#8217;esta portant a terme a aquest equipament.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-B0SUxn5ftak\/Upd2kq02BtI\/AAAAAAAAC28\/OJ-G4sQ53jc\/w682-h512-no\/sincrotro01.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/-bnfafb9n_mg\/Upd2kSilL4I\/AAAAAAAAC24\/QHb3vE9i6kQ\/w205-h154-no\/sincrotro01red.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El sincrotr\u00f3 Alba esta situat al costat del campus de la Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona. L&#8217;Alba en realitat \u00e9s un complex de tres acceleradors: un accelerador de part\u00edcules lineal un sincrotr\u00f3 o propulsor d&#8217;electrons i un anell d&#8217;emmagatzematge. Es creen electrons en el can\u00f3 d&#8217;electrons de la mateixa manera que en un tub de rajos cat\u00f2dics de televisi\u00f3, aquests s\u00f3n accelerats a 1 MeV en l&#8217;accelerador lineal. Despr\u00e9s passen al propulsor d&#8217;electrons, de 250 metres de per\u00edmetre, on s&#8217;acceleren els electrons fins velocitats properes a la de la llum, arribant a una energia de fins a 3 Giga electronvolts (GeV). Aquests electrons s&#8217;injecten a l&#8217;anell d&#8217;emmagatzematge de 268 metres de per\u00edmetre que est\u00e0 equipat per produir radiaci\u00f3 electromagn\u00e8tica d&#8217;una gama cont\u00ednua de longituds d&#8217;ona, des de la llum visible fins als raigs X.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/-J2fQ8wM_l6Y\/UpTwKmflyTI\/AAAAAAAAC10\/EKMF17jiCKs\/w830-h551-no\/sincrotron-alba+053+dos+laboratorios.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/-jF3f1ogfXtU\/UpTwIgS48_I\/AAAAAAAAC1s\/zjPUTS-8e9A\/w322-h214-no\/sincrotron-alba+053+dos+laboratoriosred.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>La radiaci\u00f3 obtinguda \u00e9s \u00fatil no nom\u00e9s en investigacions en el camp de la f\u00edsica, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 en tots els camps de la ci\u00e8ncia i la tecnologia en qu\u00e8 cal analitzar mostres de petites dimensions com estructures cristal\u00b7lines, nous materials, mostres biol\u00f2giques de contaminants o restes arqueol\u00f2giques. Tamb\u00e9 pot tenir aplicacions en el disseny de nous f\u00e0rmacs i en imatge i ter\u00e0pies m\u00e8diques.<\/p>\n<p>Aquestes aplicacions es porten a terme en estacions experimentals, anomenades l\u00ednies de llum, que recullen i modifiquen la llum sincrotr\u00f3 emesa en l&#8217;anell d&#8217;emmagatzematge. Actualment t\u00e9 7 l\u00ednies de llum. La L\u00ednia Boreas s&#8217;utilitza en magnetisme i nanotecnologia. La L\u00ednia Circe permet estudiar la configuraci\u00f3 electr\u00f2nica dels materials s\u00f2lids i l\u00edquids. La L\u00ednia Claess t\u00e9 aplicacions en f\u00edsica de l\u2019estat s\u00f2lid, cat\u00e0lisi qu\u00edmica i qu\u00edmica anal\u00edtica. La L\u00ednia MSPD t\u00e9 aplicacions en ci\u00e8ncia de materials, qu\u00edmica inorg\u00e0nica, geologia, farmacologia. La L\u00ednia Mistral \u00e9s d\u2019aplicaci\u00f3 en microbiologia i biologia cel\u2022lular. La L\u00ednia NCD t\u00e9 aplicacions en biologia i qu\u00edmica org\u00e0nica.
