Com sol ser habitual cada curs, l\u2019alumnat que cursa l\u2019optativa de biologia de 4rt d\u2019ESO i biologia de 1r de Batxillerat han realitzat un taller al Caixaf\u00f2rum titulat \u201cInvestiguem la vacuna del VIH\u201d. Els joves s\u2019han familiaritzat amb material de laboratori de precisi\u00f3 i han pogut realitzar una electroforesi en gel per determinar la validesa d\u2019una vacuna, simulant la recerca dins un centre d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 biom\u00e8dica.<\/p>\n

L’activitat t\u00e9 com a objectius principals recon\u00e8ixer la import\u00e0ncia de la investigaci\u00f3 a l’hora de desenvolupar tractaments pal\u00b7latius i preventius contra la SIDA i valorar i adoptar mesures de prevenci\u00f3 adequades, en l’\u00e0mbit individual, amb relaci\u00f3 a malalties molt sensibles a conductes d’alt risc, com ara la SIDA.<\/p>\n

En aquest taller l’alumnat ha reprodu\u00eft part de la investigaci\u00f3 que es duu a terme als laboratoris de l’Institut de Recerca de la Sida, IrsiCaixa, per identificar subst\u00e0ncies candidates a formar part d’una vacuna contra la sida. El repte de l’alumnat ha estat esbrinar, seguint les etapes de la metodologia cient\u00edfica i fent servir t\u00e8cniques de laboratori, si una prote\u00efna concreta del virus podria ser efica\u00e7 per eliminar la infecci\u00f3 per VIH.<\/p>\n
