Halloween and Castanyada<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Joan Solà high school we celebrate Halloween and Castanyada every year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Halloween is a traditional celebration from England. In Halloween we do trick or treat, which consists of asking for candies in the houses. We celebrated Halloween in Joan Solà on 30th<\/sup> of October.<\/span><\/p>\n

Castanyada is a traditional celebration in Catalonia. It consists of eating chestnuts and cooking “panellets”, a special food of Castanyada made with almonds. We also celebrated Castanyada on 30th<\/sup> of October. <\/span><\/p>\n

In our school we celebrated it doing activities like making a paper skeleton, eating chestnuts and finally the students of 1st<\/sup> ESO did a spelling competition and a pumpkin competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The winners of the competition won a prize (a cinema ticket)<\/span><\/p>\n
