El mercat, un edifici modernista situat a la pla\u00e7a Corsini, \u00e9s el s\u00edmbol del comer\u00e7 de proximitat al centre de Tarragona. L&#8217;edifici que acull el mercat del centre de la ciutat est\u00e0 considerat un monument hist\u00f2ric art\u00edstic i ha estat catalogat com a b\u00e9 cultural d\u2019inter\u00e8s local. Originalment va ser projectat per l&#8217;arquitecte Josep M. Pujol de Barber\u00e0 i es va inaugurar el 26 de desembre de 1915.
