Des de l&#8217;estaci\u00f3 de Fran\u00e7a, on comen\u00e7a la narraci\u00f3 quan arriba la protagonista, Andrea, a Barcelona l&#8217;any 1940 per estudiar a la Universitat, fins el domicili de la seva fam\u00edlia, on s&#8217;allotjar\u00e0 durant l&#8217;any que estar\u00e0 a la ciutat, al carrer Aribau n\u00famero 36.
