Sent aquest el segon any del GEP (grup experimental de pluriling\u00fcisme recolzat pel Departament d\u2019Ensenyament de la Generalitat de Catalunya), la mat\u00e8ria en q\u00fcesti\u00f3 havia de complir amb tots els requisits curriculars integrant l\u2019\u00fas de l\u2019angl\u00e8s al contingut d\u2019una \u00e0rea tan nova com la de la programaci\u00f3 i adaptar-la a alumnat de 13 anys. L\u2019objectiu era clar: hav\u00edem de motivar l\u2019alumnat a aprendre a programar amb Scratch 2.0 i a millorar la seva compet\u00e8ncia en llengua anglesa alhora. Mentre planific\u00e0vem el curs i les diferents activitats, no \u00e9rem del tot conscients del qu\u00e8 ens esperava. Alguns alumnes semblaven espantats per comen\u00e7ar a aprendre quelcom tan nou per ells com la programaci\u00f3 en una llengua aliena. Uns altres no volien parlar per timidesa o a causa de falta de confian\u00e7a. Alguns es van queixar de que hi havia molt de treball de llengua i que era avorrit. Per\u00f2 aix\u00f2 va ser les primeres dues setmanes. M\u2019encanta treballar amb el meu equip!\u201d <strong>Pau<\/strong> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u201cHem gaudit de treballar en grup amb els amics\u201d <strong>Cristian<\/strong> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u201cHem passat bons moments junts\u201d <strong>Aitor<\/strong> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u201cSom una pinya!\u201d tot el grup \u201cVam passar 5 hores fent aquest projecte, per\u00f2 ha valgut la pena\u201d <strong>Jan <\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u201cEns ha agradat treballar junts\u201d <strong>David<\/strong> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u201cQuan no sab\u00edem fer alguna cosa ens ajud\u00e0vem els uns als altres.\u201d <strong>Adri\u00e0<\/strong> \u201c <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>&#8220;Volem dir que <strong>Pablo,<\/strong> que acaba de marxar a viure a un altre pa\u00eds \u00e9s un company d\u2019equip excel\u00b7lent i el trobarem molt a faltar.\u201d <strong>David and Adri\u00e0 <\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>&#8220;\u00c9s molt divertit per\u00f2 hi ha molta feina a fer\u201d <strong>Ferran<\/strong> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u201c\u00c9s divertit i interessant, i podem fer tota la feina a classe.\u201d <strong>Hugo<\/strong> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u201c Per a mi, l\u2019angl\u00e8s \u00e9s dif\u00edcil, per\u00f2 he apr\u00e8s molt. Al comen\u00e7ament volia marxar, per\u00f2 m\u2019agrada la inform\u00e0tica\u201d <strong>Jordi.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Com podeu comprovar, l\u2019alumnat ha apr\u00e8s quelcom de programaci\u00f3 i, la majoria, \u00a0est\u00e0 usant l\u2019angl\u00e8s amb m\u00e9s seguretat, per\u00f2 l\u2019\u00e8xit m\u00e9s important \u00e9s el d\u2019haver estat capa\u00e7os d\u2019organitzar-se i col\u00b7laborar en els projectes respectant les idees del altres.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alumnes, estem molt orgullosos de vosaltres i volem compartir-ho amb tothom a trav\u00e9s dels vostres projectes. \u00a0V\u00e0reu acceptar el repte i esperem molt de vosaltres durant la resta del curs.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019alumnat i el professorat de <em>\u201cCoding with Scratch\u201d<\/em>\u00a0, Carlos Salvad\u00f3 i Maria Jos\u00e9 Bar\u00f3n, us desitja Bones Pasq\u00fces i feli\u00e7 Any Nou!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>Maria Jos\u00e9 Bar\u00f3n<\/em> (Cap de <a href=\"http:\/\/institutsolderiu.cat\/equip-huma\/departaments-didactics\/llengues-estrangeres\/\" target=\"_blank\">Departament de Lleng\u00fces Estrangeres<\/a> i Professora d\u2019angl\u00e8s)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Preparing a whole course in English from scratch has been a great professional challenge for Carlos Salvad\u00f3 and myself. Being in the second year of GEP (Plurilingualism Experimenting Group supported by the Education Department of the Government of Catalonia) , the optional subject had to fulfill the curricular requirements integrating English in a content area as new as programming, \u00a0and adapt it to 13-year-old students. We had a clear objective: motivate our students to learn how to code with scratch, and improve their English at the same time. While \u00a0planning the subject and the activities, we had not expected the reactions of our 2nd of ESO students. First, they seemed scared because they were starting to learn something very new for them, which was coding with Scratch 2.0 in a language which was not theirs. Some of them refused to speak because they were too shy or because they said they did not know enough. Others complained that it was boring or that they had too much language work. Some of them even asked us to leave the subject. That was the first two weeks. However, little by little, all the pieces began to be meaningful when the students started to work on their projects, individually, and later, in groups producing really nice Christmas Cards for the school which are posted on this website. At the end of the 1<sup>st<\/sup> term the students opinions about the optional subject and their work are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cIt has been great fun and enjoyable\u201d Blanca <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cI love that Christmas is here and we have a colorful project\u201d Marta<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em> \u201cMuy chulo! It\u2019s cool! I love working with my team!\u201d Pau <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cWe enjoy working as a group with friends.\u201d Cristian <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cWe spent a good time together.\u201d Aitor <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201c We are a \u201cpineapple\u201d hahaha!\u201d All the group <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cWe spent five hours doing the project but it was worth it.\u201d Jan <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cWe enjoyed working together\u201d David <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cWhen we couldn\u2019t do something we helped each other\u201d Adri\u00e0<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em> \u201cWe want to say that Pablo, who has just left us to move to another country, is an excellent team mate and that we will miss him\u201d David and Adri\u00e0 <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cIt is a great fun but there is a lot of work to do\u201d Ferran <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201c It is really fun and interesting and we can do everything in class. I like sports but I also like programming and I am happy to be here\u201d Hugo <\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cFor me English is difficult but I learned a lot, In the beginning I wanted to leave and do another subject, but I like computers\u201dJordi<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As you can see, they have learnt some coding and most of them feel they are using English more confidently, but their most important achievement is being able to get organized and cooperate in their groups respecting the others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Students, we are very proud of you all! And we want everybody to know.
