Cada curs, la Societat Catalana de Matem\u00e0tiques organitza la Prova Cangur consistent en un concurs de matem\u00e0tiques de nivell preuniversitari amb l&#8217;objectiu d&#8217;acostar les matem\u00e0tiques als m\u00e9s joves i intentar despertar el seu inter\u00e8s. Segons la Viquip\u00e8dia, <em>l&#8217;origami o\u00a0papirofl\u00e8xia \u00e9s l&#8217;art japon\u00e8s del plegament del paper\u00a0 <\/em>i\u00a0pot definir-se com <em>una art educativa en qu\u00e8 es desenvolupa la creativitat, prenent-la com a passatemps o aplicant-la fins i tot en les matem\u00e0tiques<\/em>.
