Pere Ort\u00eds nasqu\u00e9 a Bellpuig l&#8217;any 1930, exerceix la professi\u00f3 de sacerdot i ha viscut a Hondures i a Nova York, tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s llicenciat en literatura i en filologia rom\u00e0nica, a m\u00e9s d&#8217;un gran defensor de la llengua catalana i escriptor de novel.la i assaig ling\u00fc\u00edstica.<br \/>\nEl passat mes de novembre, l&#8217;ajuntament de Bellpuig li va retre homenatge.
