ENGLISH PROJECT \u2018OUT OF EDEN\u2019 \u00a0 2020-2021<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n

\u00a0An initiative of Project Zero<\/b> at the Harvard Graduate School of Education<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

This\"\"<\/a> is the third course-year that the students of 2<\/span>nd<\/span> of ESO of our High School INS Lo Pla D\u2019Urgell collaborate with the project \u2018<\/span>Out of Eden<\/b>\u2019. This is a free online learning program for youth around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a very specific <\/span>virtual learning community<\/b> of the Zero Project (<\/span>University of Harvard<\/b>), designed to accompany<\/span> Paul Salopek<\/b> (journalist of <\/span>National Geographic<\/b>) in his <\/span>Out of Eden Walk project. <\/b>Paul Salopek \u2018s <\/span>21,000-mile odyssey is a decade-long experiment in slow journalism. He is walking the pathways of the first humans who migrated out of Africa in the Stone Age and made the Earth ours.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Students in classrooms around the world are grouped into small and diverse learning groups to jointly undertake a “<\/span>learning trip<\/b>.” They complete <\/span>weekly activities<\/b>, post their responses, and read and respond to the messages of others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our students will complete two trips or journeys which consist of 6 didactic units each, so they will complete <\/span>12 didactic units<\/b>. These are called \u2018footsteps\u2019, imitating Paul Salopek\u2019s journey. Our students have already done very nice and good footsteps so far and have shared ideas and comments with students around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n
