Us farem refer\u00e8ncia a un document publicat en el portal XTEC que ens resumeix per qu\u00e8 un hort \u00e9s important educativament ? L&#8217;hort escolar com a recurs pedag\u00f2gic &#8211; Xtec<br \/>\nxtec.gencat.cat\/.content\/alfresco\/d\/d\/workspace\/SpacesStore\/&#8230;\/hort_escolar.pd<br \/>\nEl 30 de juny del 2005 l\u2019Organitzaci\u00f3 de les Nacions Unides per a l\u2019Agricultura i l\u2019Alimentaci\u00f3 (FAO) va proposar la creaci\u00f3 d\u2019horts escolars per tal de millorar la qualitat de la nutrici\u00f3 i la formaci\u00f3 de nens i familiars als pa\u00efsos, en especial aquells en vies de desenvolupament, aconsellant tamb\u00e9 que la producci\u00f3 d\u2019aquests horts sigui el gruix de la dieta de productes frescos al menjador escolar. Paral\u00b7lelament van recomanar els horts escolars com una eina que afavoriria i contribuiria a l\u2019educaci\u00f3 mediambiental i al desenvolupament individual i social dels alumnes.<br \/>\nJa fa molt anys que el Departament d\u2019Ensenyament aposta pels Horts a les Escoles,aprendre amb l\u2019hort afegeix una dimensi\u00f3 pr\u00e0ctica als aprenentatges que ajuda a refor\u00e7ar mat\u00e8ries instrumentals com les lleng\u00fces i les matem\u00e0tiques, i d\u2019altres com les ci\u00e8ncies naturals, la tecnologia i les ci\u00e8ncies socials. Per\u00f2 sobretot afegeix el poder<br \/>\npotenciar el treball comunitari, el di\u00e0leg, la cooperaci\u00f3 , la responsabilitat, la conviv\u00e8ncia i l\u2019intercanvi de coneixements, en fi totes aquelles compet\u00e8ncies Personals i Socials dels nostres alumnes de l\u2019ESO.
