The 1st-year of the baccalaureate artistic students devoted their tutorial session on Sant Jordi\u2019s Day to reading and discussing poems by Gerard Verg\u00e9s in British English. During the session, they analysed the texts and compared the original Catalan versions with their English translations, reflecting on nuances, rhythm, and literary devices in both languages.<\/p>\n

To carry out the activity, they used the English translation of the poetry collection La insostenible lleugeresa del vers<\/em>, published as The Unsustainable Lightness of Verse<\/em>, which allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the author\u2019s work as well as the particularities of literary translation.<\/p>\n

L\u2019alumnat de 1r de batxillerat art\u00edstic va dedicar l\u2019hora de tutoria del dia de Sant Jordi a la lectura i comentari de poemes de Gerard Verg\u00e9s en angl\u00e8s. Durant la sessi\u00f3, van analitzar els textos i van establir comparacions entre la versi\u00f3 original en catal\u00e0 i la seva traducci\u00f3 a l\u2019angl\u00e8s, reflexionant sobre els matisos, el ritme i els recursos literaris en ambdues lleng\u00fces.<\/p>\n
