Sol ser de color negre, gris fosc, rosat o vermell amb els fenocristalls clars i t\u00e9 una textura porf\u00edrica.<br \/>\n<strong>Usos i\/o aplicacions:<\/strong><br \/>\nS\u2019utilitzava per fer monument civilitzacions assiriobabil\u00f2nica, eg\u00edpcia i romana.
