Artists have carved, painted, drawn and printed. They have produced tiny works and giant constructions, from detailed ink drawings, to rock carvings, paintings in frames, and huge abstract sculptures. Even before they invented writing, people created art to express their beliefs and feelings. Art can be realistic or not at all, some works seem calm and still, while others appear lively. Art can be lovely to look at or it can be ugly.

Through this project, we travel across art history and its most famous movements, from ‘Renaissance’ to Pop Art, from Early Art to Contemporary Art. Although not all art fits into these neat categories, it can be helpful to be able to ‘place’ art. The categories help us to work out where, when and why a piece of art was made, just by looking at it.

In conclusion, a great topic to discover using English!

Dreams and Mythology! 1st ESO
In 1st of ESO we have a goal: Comprehension and written expression in past tense using sentences.
