Samhain era el d\u00e9u dels morts. Algunes fonts indiquen que la paraula ga\u00e8lica &#8220;Samhain&#8221; literalment vol dir &#8220;final de l&#8217;estiu&#8221;. El dia que celebraven Samhain era, per tant, el dia de cap d&#8217;any. En aquella \u00e8poca, s&#8217;encenien grans fogueres sobre les muntanyes per foragitar els esperits malignes. Tamb\u00e9 es creia que les \u00e0nimes dels morts visitaven les seves antigues cases per intentar trobar un cos on habitar, i anaven acompanyades de <strong>bruixes<\/strong> i <strong>esperits<\/strong>.
