Black Police<\/em><\/p>\n September 22, year 2024<\/em><\/p>\n Today is the festivity of Santa Tecla in Sitges, and now Xavier Brown is in Sitges, doing his job as a police officer like every day, the difference is that he is in one of the Sitges festivals.<\/em><\/p>\n His boss made him go to Sitges just to make sure the festival went smoothly. He just accepted because his boss said he will get an extra pay, and Brown can\u2019t say no to the money.<\/em><\/p>\n He smells something\u2026 is it a kebab? Oh, no, he wants so much a kebab, but he can't leave his place to eat it. That probably will get him problems, and he wants that extra pay. He just waits and sees what the people are doing now; preparing the things for the fest.<\/em><\/p>\n An hour goes faster than the officer expects, and now he is seeing how they are celebrating with the loud music. He hears something behind him, but when he looks back sees nothing. He ignores it, just thinking that it must have been the loud music, or he\u2019s alread going crazy. The officer hates it when he is surrounded by so many \u201cstupid\u201d citizenry, but he can\u2019t do anything but stay and try to calm down.<\/em><\/p>\n He hears something again, and when he looks behind him again, sees something between two bushes. With a calm and careful step, he approaches and puts his hand near one of his non-lethal weapons. He pushes aside the bushes and goes inside, with his heart going too fast. And sees a shoe, a little shoe of a kid.<\/em><\/p>\n -What?…Why is there a shoe?- He asks himself confused, feeling a weight on his chest for some strange reason-<\/em><\/p>\n -It\u2019s mine- A small voice answers-<\/em><\/p>\n The police looks around. \u201cWhere am I?\u201d he thinks, no one is with him and now he can\u2019t hear any sound of the loud music, or the people talking and screaming. He Looks back to the front and there\u2019s no shoe in his hand. All around him is black and the sensation of pain invades him. \u201cI\u2019m I in a dream or something?\u201d thinks again.<\/em><\/p>\n His body falls to nothingness and he feels like his stomach has stuck somewhere high. He wants to scream, but he can\u2019t talk. Feels like his mouth is covered by something. At some point his body stops falling and he gets up earlier. A little kid appears in<\/em> -Who are you? Are you ok, little kid?- He speaks with a trembling voice, something he cannot avoid-<\/em><\/p>\n -…- He doesn’t answer, he only speaks when he\u2019s in front of him- Are you sure you are a good person?- that question make him paralyze-<\/em><\/p>\n -Wha\u2026–\u2026of course I\u2019m, don\u2019t worry, are you lost? Where are your parents?- He asks, still bewildered by<\/em> The kid smiles and laughs, then his body begins to mutate, now he is larger and scarier, with the face covered by a mask of a porcelain doll of a child, in another moment, to Brown, it would be a cute porcelain doll mask, now is terrified of him. More kids<\/em> -What the f–k is this?!- Exclaims with horror- Where am I?!- He Asks with burning pain in his head-<\/em><\/p>\n -You can\u2019t hide forever what you did to us, Xavier Brown, not even behind a badge- The voice of the little kid is a combination of desperation and desolation-<\/em><\/p>\n -No\u2026- He Says incredulously-<\/em><\/p>\n The masks of the kids start to smile slowly and they are more terrifying when small tears of blood appear in their faces.<\/em><\/p>\n -Now, you\u2019re going to pay for all of this- The child\u2019s voice becomes a devilish one-<\/em><\/p>\n He didn’t have the time to answer when the creature hit him and now he is at the same point of the start, it is all black but he can see a light then he approaches it. He sees a human castle of Santa Tecla.<\/em><\/p>\n The people don\u2019t move, not until Brown is watching them up close. Then the bodies move to attack the police. He looks at the persons without being able to look away and can\u2019t move when they get off his chest plate. When he\u2019s about to scream, a hand covers his mouth, the kid again.<\/em><\/p>\n -Do you think you can escape from what you do?- the kid speaks slowly- Do you think you can hide behind a badge?- he laughs-<\/em><\/p>\n And then the police\u2019s badge starts floating in front of him. Little tears are now covering his eyes and cheecks.<\/em><\/p>\n He closes his eyes, slowly accepting his end, but nothing happens, and when he looks again he sees the same bushes where he was at first. He, incredulous and disoriented, inhales the fresh air.<\/em><\/p>\n
